Please some one explain me what is Company Code Segment?

Company code segment of a master data deals with the settings applicable for the company code. For example, the chart of segment and company code segment of a GL account has different control formalities. Chart of account segment is a client level setting applicable to all companies using that chart of account where as the company code segment data belongs to that particular company code only; not affecting other company codes.

Company code segment is nothing but infulence of finance effect in particular data for example vendor or customer master data have 3 segment

1 General Data

2 Company code data

3 Purchase or sales data

company code data segement have what r all come i was given below

Account information

withholding tax

payment transaction

correspondence

Hi

Masters like GL/Vendor/Customer can be created for different segments. Data relating that segment will meet the reporting requirement to create the date. Where as Company code segment controls the data of posting into the books of accounts.

company code segment means here u can enter the entire details relating to ur company code and which will be assigned to ur company code...

here in SAP there are lot of objects which are created at client level or centrally... other company code in same client can also use the same informations or same objects,, like chart of accounts, customers, vendors, GL accounts etc..

so when u want to use this and not creat again for ur company code ,, u can under the company code segment enter the information and details relating to ur company code

and save.. u can use that..... object
