I want the information about how REM& discrete scenario are combined in SAP PP .How Planning & production has to take place?

Can you give me any documents when combine scenario is used.

Hi,

Some companies using PP & REM combination.

Upto HALB level they are using REM.

FERT material processed by discrete.

YEs that what iwant ? how to do planning & production IN SAP for both scenario?

is it compulsory to create order in both type of production or HOW?

. Can you send Any documents for combined scenario is used. How master data like bom , routing is created for combined scenario?

Hi,

Order types are different for REM & discrete.

Upto HALB, REM is used. It is a normal procedure. Material master, BOM, Rate roting & prod version all are regular settings only.

Create req, run MRP & post the stock against planned order.

FERT material is a Discrete manufacturing. No need to assign REM indicator.

Depends on strategy used in FERT, system will consume HALB stock.

You can make stock & deliver against sales order.

In the Order types both are different.

Hi,

In most of the Cases the REM and Discrete will be combined in number of industries..

For e.g

Your regular production is in REM

Now if there is any customer returns or Rework is there you will go with Discrete Manufacturing with Diffrent Order Types.

In this scenario, system will always plan with REM 9Pl. Oredr will be REM relevant).

So, there is no way system will know whether the Planned Order is for REM or otherwiese.

Direct Creation of Production Order with apppropriate Order type will be the only option..

There is no separate documntation is required for this..

You should have diffrent Order Types and other dependent customization for Orders should be there for combined process.

DEAR siva,

Oour regular production after with two scenarios . One upto semifinish stage they are required two produce halb material which is used in

any FERT Item . So Halb they are using repetitive .Then they create production order for FERT where they use repetitive material.

For combine scenario i am new. I know individual scenario .

Hi,

Consider the below scenario..

A - FERT (Discrete)

You maintain the Planning Strategy for e.g 40.

Create BOM & Routing and all the customizations realated to Production orders

Refer below link for further detils...

X - HALB (REM)

Create BOM, Routing, PV and PCC

Now there is a demad for A, After MRP Run, system will Create Planned Orders of LA for A.

Now you will convert this to Production Order and Execute the Production..

For X System will Planned Orders of Type PE

You will do all the Backflush related things for X.

Stock of X will be availabe for A to be consumed..

There is no confusion at all..

but customer does not want to create any planned order . He just take s material from Store as MB21 . In repetitive they create material,

create product cost collector & does only Mfbf for Semi Finish material ?So haw planning will club together this requirement.
