MM01 Error - Accounting View

Hi All

When i create a Raw Material in

Industry Sector : Mechanical Engineering

Material Type : Raw Material(ROH)

System throws an error " Please Enter Moving average for this material"

Please Suggest

Pl use valuation category as"S" insted of"V" against the matcode and plant combination..

Hai,

1.Check the valuation price control in OMS2 for ROH material type - Moving average price.

2. If message no M3 131 - With price control V, enter a moving average price is maintained as an error message in IMg settings OMT4 then u have to enter the price, mandatory.

select the accounting 1 view->here check the price control->if it is V(moving avg price),then make an entry in Moving price,--->if it is S (standard),then make an entry in Standard price

Hi,

Enter Moving average price of material , if u have slected price control u201CVu201D and then save.

If u do not wnat accounting views for material creation, then do not select that views during selection of views after entering

Note:

Generally Moving average price (price control u201CVu201D) is used for raw material & for semi finished and finished goods for Standard price procedure (price control u201CSu201D) as moving average price in case of external procurement and standard price for in house production. But its all depends on business requirements.

In the material master , please check the price control, if Price Contol is V then give the moving average price, if price control is S then maintain the standard price.

If you have configured ROH to be valuated at Mvg Avg price and if you have either not given any initial value or have given the value against Standard price then you will get this error, But to my knowledge this will not stop you from saving the master data.

Infact tried ur combination...but this is weird and its not allowing me to save. Any other solutions

Hi Jagadish,

Please go to Material Master Accounting 1 View and Check the Price Control Whether V or S. If its V Then Enter the Moving Avg price in Moving Price Field.

Else If Standard, Enter the Price in Standard Price Field and save.

In case Doubts go to OMS2 and Select ROH Material type and in Valuation Tab check Price Control is V or S.

System is only allowing me to enter moving average price for this material type even making changes in the material attributes.

goto OMT4 Transactions & check the maintenance of these messages

M3-131 With price control V, enter a moving average price

M3-132 With price control S, enter a standard price

if they are maintained as error change them to warning & save

Come out of the material master screen & create the material master agian,

In OMT4 only "M3 132 - Waring" message is available and M3 131 is not available.

1.Check this is Tcode SE91 - Message maintenance enter the message class & number. you can get the details.

2.Add this message in OMT4 new entrt & make it to warning message.
