Deleting the Contents of BALDAT

Hi All,

We were looking to clear of the contents of our BALDAT table, which is now over 160GB and climbing.

We have used the report SBAL_DELETE, but this only selects at most around 15% of the table. We cannot find another way to remove data that is not based on expiry date (Which is likely the undefined 2098 date).

We do not use this data for anything and would like to completely clear this table and it's associates, as well as turn off the application logging. Can anyone provide us with steps to do this?

Just a quick look at the package suggests few other options.

1. Combination of SBAL_ARCHIVE and SBAL_ARCHIVE_DELETE.\

2. SBAL_DELETE_ORPHAN_MESSAGES for orphans.

PS: I have not tried any and its just a suggestion.
