SQL Anywhere 16 Personal Server

What is the most cost effective way to have a standalone SQL Anywhere 16 db running individually on about 150 laptops (SQL Anywhere Personal Server)?

"SAP SQL Anywhere workgroup, Edge edition (user)" includes SQL Anywhere licenses for 5 users.

If one laptop is used by one user, then,

    for 150 laptops it requires

30 x "SAP SQL Anywhere workgroup, Edge edition (user)"

(* If you buy full SQL Anywhere license through SAP indirect channel.)

If you'll just need the Personal Server and not the 30 network Servers, as Sawa suggested, you might try finding a sales representative or distributor fpr SAP SQL Anywhere in your country / region. Through that channel it could be possible to buy one Server Packages and the number of additional licenses for so called Networked Seats, which include the Personal Server (IIRC).

Please note that there is an important basic rule to apply OEM contract to use OEM edition in SAP.

OEM contract is designed for ISVs or manufacturing companies who have their own products with their "IP". ("IP" is an important point for our audit.)

OEM license can only be used in conjunction with the product defined in the agreement. It is different from the general full use license.
