Manager/Manager not working after initial synch.

I have just installed the latest version of webtools as a clean install. I ran the initial synch, had to update a couple business partners user ids, synch'd again no problem.

After the synch however, i seem to have lost my login for manager manager on the webtools side. I can log in as any particular business partner (sync'd over properly from Business One, but not as Manager. So i can't get into the webtools admin any longer.

Any thoughts?

I'm running the lastest version of webtools, and using SAP Business One 2007 A (8.00.175) SP: 00 PL: 30

Thanks in advance!

Hi Jennifer,

What do you mean by "lost my login"?

The manager user does not exist?

The manager password does not work?

The manager does not have the administration link so they can't get to admin?

When i try to log in to My Account on webtools after syncing using the username and password manager/manager i get Your login attempt was not successful. Please try again. I can log in using business partner info that properly sync'd from Business One, but obviously these are not administrator accounts, so i dont get the link to get into the admin of Webtools.

OK.

There are two possible causes for this.

The password is wrong.

The user was somehow synched as inactive.

I would suggest giving one of the users you can login with admin rights. To do this:

1. Open SQL Server

2. Find the UsersRole table and open it for edit

3. Add the userid and the superuser role

4. Add the userid and the licensed user role

Now you should be able to login in with this user.

Once you are logged in, go to the admin area and find the manager user.

On the User Info->General tab, make sure active is checked

On the Security->Password tab, reset the manager password

Save that, and open the manager account (should be the internal account).

on the Account Info->General tab, make sure the internal account is active

Now delete the superuser and licensed user roles from the user you logged in as.

You should be good to go now.

Also perhaps a bit easier way is to open the Installer from the command line in reset user mode.

Installer -resetuser

You can add/remove licensed user role, super user, active/inactive, and change their password
