I have a problem making and saving changes to text boxes on my report and on sub-reports. If the text box is in the header and I change the text, save it, close the report and reopen it the changes have not been saved.
Any ideas?
Also, I've tried to make changes to a text box on a sub-report. Again, the same things happens. I've cycled through this about a dozen times and the changes don't get saved.
Do I need to delete the textbox and start over?
Hi, Chris;
Is this happening in the Crystal Reports Designer, or via the .NET IDE? Which version of CR are you using?
Regards,
Jonathan

We use Sourcesafe. In .NET, if you start to make changes to a file that hasn't been checked out it automatically checks it out for you. Once it's checked out you have full read/write on the file. It's a 1/0 situation.
I gave up on editing the existing textbox. I copied the contents, deleted the textbox, inserted a new textbox and pasted in the content. I saved that and when I opened the report back up everything was changed. Not sure what's wrong with the textbox, or at least that particular textbox that I couldn't edit the existing content but I've solved the problem.
I would say resolved rather than solved. The text in the textbox could not be changed. Replacing the textbox solved the problem, but did not explain why the text could not be edited.
