Hi All,

i am planning to setup MSA replication from one datacenter to another datacenter.

just wanted to clarify that whether non-logged operations (like Select into) gets replicated to secondary or not.

thanks in advance

Sybase replication is transction log based. It means the inserts will have to be logged.

Select into does minimal logging, so it will not be replicated.

But you could use two step method to get the tran log generated.

Step 1 : Create the table (in primary database if needed)

For MSA you will create empty replciate table in the target database if need be and include it in the replication scope.

Step 2 : Insert into the source table with column matching "select from" clause.
