How to include field in document header

Any one please give me some input on how to include a field in document header of f-02 .

Hi,

You will have to modify the screen via SE51 (program SAPMF05A, screen 100). Ask to your ABAP team to help you, though such a modification should be carefully considered.

By the way, is it a user-defined field or field that should be there and is just missing? If the last is true, it could be a bug and solved by relevant OSS correction.

Hi,

That's not a field of a header (BKPF), but of the lines (BSEG). Therefore, there is no functional logic/possibility to add this field to the header of financial document.

you will probably need to write a rule.

When doc type is "XX" and there is a Vendor posting, take the Plant field, and move it to the Document Header.

You wont be able to control what goes in there, and you need to consider what happens if a plant is not available.

Finally you need to consider if users can change the value in the field.

Hi

First of all, you have to find which field you want to add to header data and check for table, where the field is exist.

Then ask your ABAP team to make as User Exit.

It is easy activity, ABAP will do it.
