Runtime Work Bench

Hi,

Could any one please help me out with your work experience that,

what kind of errors you came up in your work in RWB.

Realtime errors where you found difficult and how you cleared that.

    Hi,

Some of the Errors which deals with RWB

    1) Some times if we see in RWB-- CC monitoring, the CC status will show like stoped

    A) Here we have to check in ID -CC -Status is active or not and

    2) If the Message are strucked in Adapter Engine means

    A) How to deal with stuck EOIO messages in the XI 3.0 Adapter Framework

    3) If you are using the File adpater as sender and the file didnt picked from the source and u want to check means, check in CC monitoring then u will come to know the Error( This applicable for all the Adapters those runs on AE)

Like thise we can say so many............

      Hi Amruth,

      1) Mostly we Use RWB to monitor for Adapter Engine related Errors( goto RWB -Compo Moni Adapter Engine--CC Moni)

If urs is the File---JDBC Scenario means Some times file will pick from the source and Process it and will get the success in MONI also. But at receiver side Application Database may not be updated with the records.

So in this case we can check the receiver JDBC Adapter CC Monitong in RWB

      2) And also we can use RWB to send the Messages to Integration Server for Processing

(If u want to test the Interface by posting the message to XI and If u want to restart successfully processed messages means)

    Amruth,

I could give you a very few though not exhaustive.

    1. When you try opening component monitoring /message monitoring or any tab, you get user access locked/access previleges changes error. You will not be able to monitor any component. This is when the user PIRWBUser whihc is a service user gets locked.

    2. When you open RWB you have a JAVA exception, once you refresh it that gets away. This could be a reason of java stack refresh.

    3. Communication channel when started gives internal error saying there the status of channel unknown. But this error gets away afetr a few seconds. This could be another instance of stack refresh.

    Thanks,

    Valli

Runtime Workbench is XI java monitoring component. So majorly, u will be able to see the errors related to Adapter Engine. e.g. posting message from XI to receiver file, jdbc, soap adapter, Error in picking up files, error in connection with sender or receiver etc

    Hi Amruth,

In RWB we basically go whenever we have some problem from adapters to check there status and then by seeing message content in MDT we can analyse the problem to rectify the same.

I had faced couple of times with File Adapters in our project which we use to check in RWB and then analyse further.

    Thanks

    Hi,

In realy time in any scenario the errors willbe common,we cant remember all the errors.

But wen ever any error occurs in scenario first u have to check the MONI there u will find the error and in which pipeline service the error occured.if u can anylize the error then u can easly reslove it.

If u cant understand and u want to know the complete error then u have to to to RWB ther in adapter engine u have option communication channel.

click on it and u have to give the adapter channel name and u will find complete error information.

    check some links on RWB.

    Hi

    RWB:

Central tool in SAP Exchange Infrastructure for monitoring and testing the individual components and for monitoring message processing and performance.

RWB stands for runtime workbench in XI.

It is a central monitoring tool of XI.

As u know sxmb_moni is a monitoring transaction in ABAP stack which is used to monitor messages in XI.

Similarly RWB is a monitoring tool on java stack, but using RWB u not only monitor messages but u can also monitor components in XI ,message monitoring, performance monitoring where we can see average message processing rate of integration server, then we can have end to end monitoring.

Basically it is a tool monitor all XI components.

Again we can configure alerts also and then check our alert inbox to see whether there are any alerts.

It is based on SAP CCMS.

      Hi Amruth,

A few more points which might be of help.

In the Message monitoring of RWB - messages might have been stuck up in the Adapter engine with 'System error' or in 'to be delivered' status. You might have to resend the messages in that case.

If its an RFC channel - the 'RFC logon failure,Name or password incorrect' error might occur. This would be due to the user being locked or the logon credentials not being updated correctly after changing the password for the RFC channel.

You might get the 'Name not found.Object not found in the lookup' error at times in the sender channel.A cache refresh might solve the problem.

Sometimes the file might not be picked up by the sender channel due to either incorrect file path or filename or due to extra special characters being added to the incoming file.

If you check the message flow from end to end in your scenario, you will be able to debug the error.

      Hope this helps.

      Thanks and Regards,

      Induja
