Clarifications on xMSA Applications for Handheld

Hi

we have a requirement to customize my client xMSA application for Handheld. My client have

SAP CRM 2007 SP3,

SAP NetWeaver 2004s

Mobile Engine 7.0 SP14

DB2 8.22

MSAHH 5.0

I need clarifications on the below points.

1) According to SAP note;677476 DB29.1.2 needs to be used is it correct?

2) when we run mobile application the tables will automatically create under C:/Programfiles/SAP Mobile Infrastructure/data.

I am able to find some of the tables under the above location,

but how to view this tables.

3) How can i see the structure of the DB2e tables. Is there any client tool avaliable(like sql editor). I heard it is DB2eCLPU is freely downloadable from sdn. But i can't able to find the link. can you please provide the correct link?

4) Is xMSA application is the GenericSync application or Smart sync application

Hi Prasad,

Please look at my comments below:

1) According to SAP note;677476 DB29.1.2 needs to be used is it correct?

A. You are correct. As specified in note, you need to install Db2e 9.1.2 for MI 7.0 SP 14 and higher versions.

2) when we run mobile application the tables will automatically create under C:/Programfiles/SAP Mobile Infrastructure/data.

I am able to find some of the tables under the above location,

but how to view this tables.

A. As you specified in point 3, Db2eCLP is the tool that you can use to access all the tables and content inside this tables. But it is not a special tool with all GUI elements, instead it opens up a command prompt and you need to fire SQL queries.

If you are not able to access this link, the login to https://sdn.sap.com and then in the search box type "db2e clp" and then you will get 2 search results. Click on the first one and it will have a link for downloading this tool.

4) Is xMSA application is the GenericSync application or Smart sync application

A. xMSA is a generic sync application.
