NW7.0 and NW7.1 on the same server - possible?

Hi guys,

We currently have NW7.0 (EP 6.0) installed on one of our servers. This uses Java 1.4.2 for the AS-JAVA component.

We are looking at installing NW7.1 (PI 7.0) on the same server. We are at the understanding that this requires Java 1.5 (5.0)

Has anyone tried to install these 2 products on the same server before, or any 2 products that require different versions of Java? We're a little cautious because NW7.0 seems to only be supported on Java 1.4.2, and NW7.1 has a minimum of Java 1.5.

Provided we install the 2 different java versions to different locations on our server, and adjust the environment variables for the <sid>adm users, can anyone see any potential problems arising from this scenario?

There shouldn't be any specific issues if you clearly separate the JAVA_HOMEs.
