Linking BP from ELM to an existing markting campaign.

We are implementing CRM marketing scenario and our key-users ask if

there is a standard solution, within SAP CRM 2007, so that customers

created from an external list (customer having visited one of our

customers' stand, e.g.) can get automatically linked to an existing

marketing campaign.

Could you please confirm us this issue?

Hi Pablo,

If you check the Target Group Creation while uploading the Flat file through ELM, you can assign them to Campaign.

Select existing target Group(Which are used for Campaigns) to save.

So, System automatically updates the existing target groups assigned to the Marketing Campaign.

Thanks for your reply.

What we really need is to create an activity for each partner uploaded, so that whenever a customer will call to our IC, the history of interactions will show that this customer visited one of our stands (i.e. a specific marketing campaign). Is that possible?

1) we can create an activity while uploading the Partners through ELM.

2) On which role uploaded Partners are created?

Based on that we can complete the scenario.

1) How do you create activities from ELM based CRM standard?

2) If partners can be created in various roles, I would need to create them in Sold-To-party role.

We can create an activity and Business Partner by using ELM same time in CRM 5.0.

Hi Pablo,

You can create BP and Activity by using ELM in crm 2007.

While mapping fields you need to map fields for BP and Activity.

Then system creates BP and Activity.

I suppose that an enhancement is necessary to include field "CAMPAIGN" to the activity that will be created, isn´t it?

Yes, enhancement is required to has Campaign ID field in Activity.
