Hi,

From one repository xiR2SP4 to another repository XiR2SP4, when i export/import reports, the schedule task doesn't persist on reports. Is it normal ?. Must i recreate all the task for all reports ?? I find it hard to believe;-(

Thank

Gil

Hi Gil,

If I understand your question right, when you import report objects from one environment to another environment, the reports are not scheduled on the destination system. No. You do not have to reschedule the object again. I don't know whether you used "Import report instances for the objects selected" option or not. If you had used, the system would automatically import all the successful and scheduled instances for that object. What is the import option you used? Did you use Update or Merge? Were you trying overwrite the object content on the destination system? Try scheduling a report object on the source and import it using the option I mentioned above. You should be able to see the scheduled instance on the destination.

Good luck.

i think when you export or import reports, you just export and import only the objects not the operations done to this report, like scheduling since this operation is stored in the repository of the business objects enterprise and will not be exported to the other server

you just export the report as an object only, and you need to recreate the operation "schedule" on this objects at the destination server.

you can export the instances which has been resulted from scheduling this objects in the old server to

the new server. coz the system consider them objects too,

good luck
