Hi friends,

In script, my requirement is whenever we enter same item twice keeping all the details of previous one

that should just increment the only quantity on the output.Normally, output shows whatever items you have entered. This is to reduce duplicate items.

How can I achieve this? Can I achieve this w/o modifying print program?

Thanks in advance.

at first, no you can NOT achieve this in just editing your form. For this requirement it is neccesary to modify the print-program.

If you do NOT like to modify you could copy it into customer-nameroom (Y) and then edit the copied program. just make sure TNAPR records are getting updated to usage of new print-program.

PROBLEM when copying, you will NOT benefit of new releases or hotpackeges.

Another problem is WHEN do you call 2 items identical?

When matnr = same or matnr = same AND amount = same?

There can be different items with same material and even same amount while the got a different price or whatever.

just be a bit more specific.

uh äh sure that this 16 souldnt be a 8?

anyway in your print program there probably is a routine item_print.

this routine is beeing called within a loop over the positions data.

So one way to achieve the things you want is to:

BEFORE the loop over position data, do yourself a loop over the positions data.

if your material is same then sum the values you need to sum.

once a new material number is beeing populated within the loop, then add your summed record to a new tab of same type.

Goal is to have the positionsdata-table already condensed.

then you just need to replace the positionsdata-table around the Perform item_print by the new table you declared.

      got my idea?
