SAP MDM Free Text Search iview

Hi,

I created a SAP MDM Free Text Search iView from Standard Free Text Search iView.

I am writting the steps.

1> First of all I created SAP MDM System in System Configuration in Enterprise Portal.

2> Then, I created System Alias in the System Object.

3> Then I map the SAP Enterprise User with MDM Repository user through SAP MDM System Alias.

4> I check the connection properties and it is succesfull.

5> I create the Free Text Search iView and then I create a ResultSet iView. I create a Page and create Delta link between these two iView with the Page.

6> First time it worked i.e., ResultSet iView shown me the result which was search in Free Text Search.

But now, from the next time, the ResultSet iView is showing all records but no specified records based on Free Text Search iView.

Now, I have some doubts.

I know that ResultSet iView will show the data based on the Free Text Search iView if there is an event for that.

So, without eventing can I display results of FreeText Search iView?

Hi kaushik,

Whenever you place any search iView and resultset iView in one page it automatically triggers an event whenever search iView gets modified. You are talking about EPCF eventing i guess which is used when you want to send some data to external application. Give some time to refresh Resultset iView or try reseting the previously search criteria and then only apply new one.

Hi,

I again did the same thing and got the Desired result.

I created a new EP Page and created Delta link between those two iViews and the Page.

I think some data does not get reflected after the exceuting the Submit Button in MDM Free Text Search iview.

Hi Kaushik,

Actually i am not clear with your query. You mean to say for some search parameters its working fine i.e. result set is updating and for search fields its not?

It would be better if u can explain with some more details. Though i dont have landscape ready with me but i will try to help you since i have worked on this earlier.

Hi Jitesh,

Actually, I am working in Business Partner Table.

Here, no field is a calculated field.

The fields which are using to search in the Business Partner table are: 1> Full Name,

2> MDM Partner ID,

3> Partner Number,

4> Full Address,

5> Update Date,

6> Create Date.

These fields are also taken while creating the ResultSet iView.

Now, it is working fine.

Hi Kaushik,

One suggession from my side. If you are testing the functionalityof these iViews then dont use the standard shipped repository try to perform the operations on local repository because there might be many things like remote keys, field properties, validations etc due to which you may land up to wrong conclusions.
