How to “import” symbol formats from one model to another?

Is there a mechanism to “import” default display formats from one model to another?

e.g. In one model, I’ve refined the formats of many symbols to be in a particular “style”. I’d like to start a new model using the same formats as the first model.

1) Start PowerDesigner as Admin(this allows you store the file in default place).

Open the model. Go to Tools->Resources->User Profiles.

Click New icon to create a new profile. Select <Model> in field Copy from. Clock OK.

2) Click Model: dropdown. Select your model. Check proper option. Click OK.

3) Create a new model, go to Tools->Apply User Profile. Select the profile you have created.

If you want to do this a lot, save your new model (after applying the User profile) in your Templates folder. The template path is shown in General options, in the "Model Creation" sub-tab. Make proper use of the model template - make sure it has the right naming conventions, extensions attached, Title symbols on Diagrams, etc., so it's really useful.

As long as "Enable Model Templates" is selected in general options, the template model will be available when you create a new model.
