Hi,

Do we need to publish the webservice(wsdl) for PI 7.1?

Hi,

I think you are looking for invoking the Web Service. Whenver you will be using the Web Application as sender you need to specify the Integration server end point, so you may need the same to be invoked for even PI 7.1

Thanks

Hi,

Done with the SOAP -> PI -> RFC scenario as per PI 7.0 service, but it is not working for PI 7.1. So, just would like to know any further steps required to do webservice scenarios in PI 7.1.

Hi,

The scenario is not working means can you please look into SXMB_MONI,

If any kind of error is logged in...

Check the wsdl with tools like xmlSpy or soapUI etc. it will give the idea about calling the webservice request.

It will be gr8 help if you can give the error details, it will help to reach the root of the cause.

Thanks

There shouldn't be any additional step for PI 7.1. What error are u facing in monitoring?

There is no issue with the receiver side. Only SOAP sender communication channel is inactive in RWB, but its active in Integration Directory.

Testing with RWB test message too.

Actually, I am testing this webservice with Webservice Studio tool. Similar scenario works fine with PI7.0. Do we need to do any additional step for PI 7.1?

Only SOAP sender communication channel is inactive in RWB, but its active in Integration Directory.

Thats the default behaviour of SOAP adaptere even for PI 7.1. It shows active only when first message is passed through it. Try doing end-to-end testing.

In end-to-end monitoring, I get only File scenario message interface, but not webservice scenario webservice.

End-to-end monitoring may not be configured properly on ur server. What is the message it is displaying in sxmb_moni and Message monitoring or RWB?

Thanks for your quick response. May I know how to check SXMB_MONI(PI 7.0) messages from /nwa ( PI 7.1)?

Are u sure that webservices are works fine with PI 7.1?

If it works fine, then I think BASIS team missed out some configuration steps....

In Message Monitoring, atleast I could able to see all the message interfaces(File and webservice scenarios) but its not displaying any messages... I think the SOAP message is not reaching PI.

May I know how to check SXMB_MONI(PI 7.0) messages from /nwa ( PI 7.1)?

Go to sapgui of PI 7.1. There sxmb_moni is the name of transaction to display the xml messages passing through XI.

Are u sure that webservices are works fine with PI 7.1?

Yes

I think the SOAP message is not reaching PI.

When u r sending data from SOAP sender client, what is it displaying? Can't u see any message in message monitoring of RWB?

It is not mandatory to publish webservice. Publishing is only required if u want to access it from outside of network. This will help
