GRC 10.1 SP19 - HR trigger integration through success Factor

Hello,


We are soon moving to 10.1,SP19 and we are planning to utilize HR trigger for this. I want to know what are the prerequisites(apart from config parameters)/guides/hint to connect success factor to GRC AC like :


1) Going by note 2180164, i see that there is a word mentioned middleware to covert data for AC. Do we need to install any middleware to facilitate connection ?

2) I went through number of posts but i don't get any relevant blog or document where i can finally decide to go for user default to assign default roles by creating a custom request type or use BRF+, I know BRF + is much more flexible, any reference link where i can see how to do that in BRF+ .The most relevant link i found is https://wiki.scn.sap.com/wiki/display/GRC/GRC+10.0+-+HR+Trigger+configuration , can i use this exactly to link to a workflow path and make decision table such to pick our default roles template for different locations ? i guess we can but, i need some hint please.

The question I have for you here is, are you trying to utilize HR trigger or you want to utilize SFEC HR Trigger?If you want to use SFEC HR Trigger then you need HCI(Middleware) to convert data from SFEC cloud to GRC (ABAP).You have to create a BRF+ for Rule to Role mapping and also you need to create BRF+ for SFEC HR Trigger.

What people generally recommend ? SFEC HR trigger or ABAP(without middle ware).

Can i get more detail on SFEC HR trigger please, any blog or informative note.

With ABAP(HR Trigger) you don't have option to assign a Business Role, but with SFEC HR Trigger we have an option to assign a Business Role to the Rule and the Rule can be assigned based on the DT that you will be creating(Ex : Position + Company Code).

In my opinion SFEC HR Trigger is the way to go as ABAP(HR Trigger) has some limitations.

Hello Ramesh.

We are not using business role concept. Just need to provision a role template to say like for location X and different template for location Y. is that possible through BRF+ as we are planning for no approver stage workflow.

Is it possible to trigger an event from Success factor to GRC ABAP system without any middle ware

Mukesh,

You can define default roles based on the allowed attributes.

No its not possible to trigger an event without HCI or DELL Bhoomi from SFEC(we need a middleware to convert data from cloud to ABAP)
