Missing Account Assignment in PR

Hi Sapients,

We upgraded from 4.7 to ECC 6.0 and the account assignment derivation in Purchase Requisition( ME51N) and in ME21N, MIGO, MIRO is not working. We have the same customized derivation strategy(FMDERIVE) in both 4.7 and ECC. It works in 4.7 but the only field populating in ECC is the Commitment Item. Are there any changes in SAP that might be causing this? Would highly appreciate any suggestions.

We ussually recommend to check these notes:

700485 PSM: Convert customizing for warehouse funds ctr scenarios

Customizing for the FM update of purchase requests and orders (stock

material) without account assignment was changed for Release 5.00.

Customizing for the budget relevance of asset transaction types was

also changed with Release 5.00. See Note 736914.

Thank you. I have come acroos the same notes and changing the settings for movement types hasn't made any difference. what else do I need to do?

In what situation the derivation fails, when the AAC in PO is blank for stock items or when there is AAC (i.e. 'K', 'F', ....)? If it's for stocks can you see the FM account assignment tab in the PR/PO line item? If so can you enter the FM account assignment manually?

Following the directions in Note 700485 did solve the problem. Thanks for your advice.

Note 700485 gives the solution.The Note needs to be corrected though as it gives the wrong path to the settings(it directs you to the settings in 4.7 instead of ECC6.0 )
