Is there a way to get PPT to advance after interacting with a chart?

I've noticed in both 2008 and 4.5 that if I have a chart embedded in a PPT and I click on my chart to interact with it I then have to make sure that I click somewhere else within the PPT slide off of the chart in order to use pagedown or arrows to advance to the next slide. This is annoying. I'm wondering if there's anyway around this focus change requirement?

Thanks,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

Unfortunately that is how PowerPoint behaves when you give the focus to the embedded SWF by clicking in it (and is the same for any SWF embedded into a PPT not just Xcelsius ones).

You have to click out of the SWF to give the focus back to PowerPoint before you can change slide.

I always leave some room at the bottom of the slide so I can click the next/previous arrows that PowerPoint shows (you have to click twice, once to give focus to PowerPoint, and again to change slide).

Regards,

Matt
