Hi ,
When i open up my report of 130 pages and try to navigate it with the next/previous buttons i get meory issues and the report crashes. I am using a developer version of CR. Is it because of 130 pages?
how to overcome it?
sincerely,
prem
Hi Prem,
As Sean mentioned that the software is crashing due to chart/graphics etc.
I have come across issues where the Crystal crashes if it has running totals, charts, subreports, crosstabs.
Try suppressing each section at a time and then preview the report, this would help you to determine due to which section Crystal crashes.
Also you can try reducing the number of pages of the report.
Hope this helps,
Shraddha.

Yes, as mentioned there could be several different causes for crashing with a large report. The possibilites include RAM problems, graphic driver/corruption, hard drive may need a check disk or defragmentation.

The size is most likely an issue if the report is graphic/subreport/chart intensive. Check the memory usage on your machine as you run the report.
Also, you can try and break the report's data set down into smaller pieces so you have 2-3 reports with less size
