Hello,
We have several reports that have been built using queries. We would like to be able to quickly print these queries in a nice format without going through too many steps. This will help us operationally as many users print these reports and would like to make the process of accessing them as simple and error free as possible.
If we export to excel then we have to format. If we select print from the menu and then print tables rather than window -- we still have to always make sure we select landscape for the printing dimensions in order to capture all the columns.
Can we use PDL to define a layout to use for specific queries and set print specs so that it will be easier just to click and print without fussing with formatting?
Thanks,
Mike
You could create a report template for Queries. When you open the Queries from Query Manager at the Bottom of the query manager you would see the button CREATE REPORT.
Highlight the query and click create report, Highlight the template User tamplate (system) and the Report Name is the same as the query name. Click Ok.
To edit the look and feel of this report..go to Tools > Queries > Query Print layout
