Connect SAP Systems to Novell eDirectory 8.8

Hello together,

like in the subject description mentioned, we want to connect the SAP Systems to the Novell eDirectory.

I want to set the connection by setting the LDAP Parameters in the Default Profile.

There I made an entry (the System should register itself automatically):

ldap/autoregister = 1

ldap/server = wcl01-ip-services-vs.dc.jj.de

But the connection does not work.

I get following Tracemessage:

ldap/options found in profile: DirType=NT5ADS

ldap/servers not found in profile

ldap/saprdn not found in profile

ldap/namingcontext not found in profile

DIR_GLOBAL found in profile: /usr/sap/SID/SYS/global

User and password read from encrypted file "/usr/sap/SID/SYS/global/ldappasswd", key "SIDas10".

*** ERROR => Failed to get SAP root directroy container.

"ldap_get_SAPDirectoryRoot" returned error code -11

*** ERROR => Failed to register

"ldap_reg_SAPServices" returned error code -9

Can anybody help me with the settings of the Parameters.

-

ldap/options found in profile: DirType=NT5ADS

==> This seems to me like MS Active directory

any other parameters I have to insert ?

Thanks

Best regards

Daniel

    Hello there,

    thanks for the Links...

yes to the Sapnote 984699 😊

The Novell links you posted, I haven't seen, yet.

But these Links and the note is for the User Management. But this is the content of my project.

I want to put technical System information in the eDirectory. Some examples are:

    - Message Server

    - SID

    - Gateway

    - Application server

    - and so on

each "Server" (i.e. Application server or Central Services) should write its own System informations

    in the LDAP Directory.

For this I Use the LDAPREG und setting up the Parameters in the DEFAULT.PFL

Because of the fact, that the system is already running, I have to set the parameters

manually. These settings are set on the Operation system level.

    thank you for supporting 😉

The eDirectory is already running, but I am searching for the adequate scheme (or LDIF File for the Extension of the scheme)

    Best regards

    Daniel
