Sales Order Costing

Hi All,

My client is a discrete manufacturing company and using Non Valuated Sales order in MTO process.

What is sales order costing?how can i use sales order costing in non valuated sales order in MTO process?

We are using account assignment category "E".please explain me step by step process in MTO sales order costing?

Can you please tellme,configuration steps and process steps,like month end to run sales order costing.

any help is appreciated.

    Hello,

    Sales order costing is the most COMPLEX costing among the three different / alternative ways of product costing.

    Although it is an excellent tool of product costing, unless you really need it, do NOT (even try to) use it. (More over the whole team - implementing consultants as well as end users- must have expert knowledge of cost accounting & SAP system)

    In view of the above, it would be better to go for simpler product costing via Product Cost by Order.
