Suppose If create a sale order with ship to party as 'Decon Cronicals' and If i create a delivery against the same sale order the ship to party 'Decon Cronicals' is updated.

After some time if I change ship to party address again in VA02 as a 'HINDU' it is not getting updated.

Kindly assist me how to solve this. Nothing quantity is delivered here.

Hi,

According to the standard functionality, any updating of ship-to party within sales order will be effective in new creating delivery note. But for existing delivery note cannot be updated automatically.

Best Regards
Tao

Hello Prakash,

What is the Business reason for changing Ship to party after creating Delivery?

I would suggest you to re-visit the Business process with the Users. Because it does not seems logical to change the Ship to party after initiating the delivery Process.

SAP Standard settings of-course will not update the Delivery document with change in Ship to party in Sales Order. I would also not recommend and Z-Development in this case.

Thanks,

Kindly search before posting. Google -> "ship-to party not updated in delivery site:sap.com" -> top link.

Changes in the sales order do not update the subsequent documents in general. That's why when the users make changes they get a pop-up message "Consider the subsequent documents". You are not supposed to create a delivery that far in advance that a shipping address changes in between. But, if it happened, you can delete the delivery and create a new one that will have the correct address. The process you are describing is not a regular business process, it's an exception.

I'm not sure what you meant by "Nothing quantity is delivered here." If there is nothing delivered then don't create a delivery at all.

Thanks for your solution approaches. I suggested to functional if he want changed ship to party, have to create a new delivery document for the same(as per the standard SAP behavior). Waiting for the user confirmation.....
