RFC connection problem

1096 Views

Hi All,

I have a problem here.

I have 2 servers BW dev and BW prd. (version BW 3.5)

The IP address of BW dev has to be changed. So we did that.

Now BW dev is up and running. Everything working fine

But the RFC connection from BW prd to BW dev (with new IP) is not working.

It gives the error of " no conect of TP sapdp00 from host bwdev"

I have changed the entries in etc/hosts file and DNS settings.

Is there any setting I need to do in /etc/services file.

I have checked the table RFCDES. There is hostname stored there (no IP).

The RFC from BW dev to BW prd is working fine. But the otherway around is giving problem.

Is there any file or table where the entry of IP to corresponding hostname gets stored.

When I type the hostname while making a RFC connection (SM59) in BW prd to BE dev, It brings the Old IP (of BW dev)in the save as IP address box.

But when I write hostname with domain name bwdev.company.com, then shows the correct IP (new one).

So because of these, transports are also not possible.

My OS is AIX and Netweaver 2004 and DB is oracle

Kindly help
