Assignation of batch nos.

dear all

During goods receipt against purchase order via mvt type 103 i want to assign batch nos.now when i go to migo aginst purchase order batch appears but is disable ,i want to enable it,please help me in this regard.thanks

Hi,

During Goods Receipt against PO with movement type "103" posts stock to "GR blocked Stock" so it is not possible to assign the Batch No to this stock since during this material movement, system doesn't propose Storage Location and Batch. Also it doesn't generate Accounting Doc for this material document.

Even if you want to put Batch then go to ME22N (PO), there under "Material data" Tab at item details level, enter batch manually OR create batch automatically, this will get defaulted in 105 movement.

If you are in ECC 6.0 then use following movement types and check whether your requirement gets fulfilled or not?

The following new movement types are available in inventory management:

- 107: Goods receipt to valuated goods receipt blocked stock

- 109: Goods receipt from valuated goods receipt blocked stock

goods receipt block stock does not allow to assign batches. GR blocked stock is not your stock, there is no posting in FI when you do the reciept.

Once you transfer the material into own stock with 105, then you can assign storage location and batch
