Integration BEx Queries using BEx Web Application 3.x/2.x Iview in EP7

Hi BI Experts,

I was trying to integrate BEx Queries using BEx Web application 3.x/2.x iview in EP 7.

I have achieved SSO between EP7 and BI7.

But when i see the preview in portal for BEx Web application Iview, the ouput of the iview has javascipt errors and images of the iview are not getting displayed. But the queries are getting executed fine upon entering proper values.

Is it problem with the 0adhoc template ? is there any setting that needs to be done to fix these javascript and image problem.

I know 0ANALYIS_PATTERN is the default template for BI7, but since we don't have BI Java installed, so we are setting 0adhoc as our defualt template.

We are on EP 7 SP15 and BI7 SPS15. And we don't have BI JAVA installed in BI server. So EP AND BI are different servers.

Is it possible to fix this javascript problem for 0adhoc template without BI JAVA being installed?

Please help.

The problem got resolved after setting BEx Web.

    Required Steps

You can perform an initial check of the automatic configuration with the

    following steps:

Note 917950 - SAP NetWeaver 2004s: Setting Up BEx Web

    1. Execute the report RSPOR_SETUP with transaction SE38 (or SA38; or you

can execute the report from the SAP Reference IMG, see Documentation

    2. Use value help of entry field Program ID (or RFC Destination) to

choose <BI_SID>_<J2EE_HOSTNAME>_<J2EE_SID> as RFC Destination (this

destination is created by the Template Installer)

    3. Enter Portal SID (required to check step 10)

    4. Press button Execute

Placeholder <BI_SID> correspond to the field BACKEND_SID of the Template

Installer's Data Entry. <J2EE_HOSTNAME> correspond to the field J2EE HOST

    and <J2EE_SID> to J2EE SID.
