Forecast Consumption from Third-party Sales Order

Dear SAP Gurus,

I would like to know how can I maintain a forecast that can be consumed by third-party sales order, if there is such standard SAP way to do that. What planning strategy and/or customizing do I need to do?

    third party sales orders means what in ur system???

    explain, is it some order type like sales order OR, if yes then its should be easily done with the help of requirement class use.

    Hi,

    Materials for third party sales order item are also planned similar to other materials. if material has planning strategy group 40 in MRP 3 view of material master then forecast of this material should be consumed by third party sales order.

    Hi Heru,

    I think MRP doesn't make difference by which kind of process you fulfill your SO. I mean that your third-party SO will consume forecast in all cases where normal SO would consume the forecast.

    Generally, planning strategy 40 is used in this sceanrio. This is a MTS strategy. Please find details:
