ESS

Hi all,

We are using R/3 4.7. EP 6.0. I have fw doubts in ESS. Kindly assist me on this.

We are going to use ESS for recording working time. For recording working time in ESS, instead of employee entering the IN-TIME, he/she presses the Submit button and System time is taken as IN-TIME. and same for OUT-TIME. How this is achieved?

In CATS Regular, if i want to maintain certain wagetypes which has make impact in IT 2010, is there any prerequisite?? i am trying to change in the profiles and enter the amount in CAT2, bt it is nt reflecting in 2010.

Similarly, if there are 100+ employees in ESS, how to link all this 100 employees with R/3, do we need to create 100 users in R/3 or else with a single user in R/3 we can link all this 100+ users?

kindly help me out on this both.

Thanks and Regards,

Sanan

hahaha I had to do this for a client and it is a royal pain in the butt....especially when you have to error check (ie. employee forgot to check in but needs to check out, employee checks in but not out, time over days, etc). As Sid suggests, we did it via user exits. However, this was with the ITS version. We found the same was not possible for the Java Webdynpro version. Meanwhile, from last I heard, they are trying to suggest to the business that they actually TRUST the employees to put in their own time (Trust employees? novel thought. haha) while also putting responsibility on the managers to insure times is correct (managers that manager? another novel idea. haha).

I didnt understand about the time in working time?

Anyways you can enrich you entries using standard CATS user exit which shouldnt be difficult
