departure zone

Dear sap gurus,

departure zone is nothing but shipping point according to my understanding, where delivery is initiated.

please correct me regarding this if it is wrong.

Hello

The departure zone is the place where the transport leaves the premises. A single shipping point can have multiple departure zones, they can be the gates whrere the shipment can be done
