WAD Template Design...

Hi Gurus,

My WAD template has 2 items one dropdown for Calendar Year and another is the query which has key figures like Actuals and Previous year sales.

Now my requirement is that as and when i select a Calendar Year in the dropdown my values in table should change accordingly( Obviously).

That means i need to somehow pass the value which is finally selected in the drop down back to my

query so that my key figures can change there values accordingly.

Can you please let me know how to do it.

Check the below link to understand how to use Dropdown box. You will need to set it up the have your query as an affected dataprovider.

Thanks for your reply.

This didnt help me to move even Delta x. I am still struck. I know how to use the drop downs and have been using it from quite sometime, but this is kidn of a strange situation for me.

Hi,

I am sorry if what I wrote was not clear. But that is basically it! You need to have your query in the affected dataproviders list for the dropdown.

The other way would be to use a calyear variable in the query definition and bind the dropdown to the variable which is very straightforward - but I guess if it was an option in your scenario, you would have done it already.
