Dear Forum Contributors,

While creating a material, the system prompts sales org and distribution channel are invalid sales area. But at the SD side...this sales area is maintained and is valid. Any advise to this matter? Kindly advise.

Thanks.

    Hi,

Check whether material and customer are maintained for the Sales Area (Sales Org, Dist. Channel & Division) entered in the selection scren of VA01.

    If not then maintain.

In case, if you are using common division concept for Customer then go to VOV8 - Sales Order Type config. and Under General Control, you wil get "Check Division", mark is as "No Dialog"

    Hi,

Lets say i want to create a material with Sales org 1000 & distribution channel 20 but when i enter, system prompts me an invalid sales area. Used F4 to browse and this combination doesn't appear in the list. On SD side, this sales area is actually created already.

    Hi Guy,

    Have you already input plant?

If yes, then the sales area must be those assigned to this plant.

You can use OVX6 to view/assign plant-sales area

    Best Regards.

    Jason
