Enterprise Services 7.0 x 7.1

Hello all,

I'd like to ask you what is the difference between working with Enterprise Services with PI 7.0 and 7.1?

Does the integration content come also for PI 7.0?

Many thanks,

Milan

    Hi,

    please have a look here:

    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/706005a3-3bd6-2910-91ae-a2016239bdcf

As PI 7.0 doesn't have an ESR I don't think that delivered content could work here.

    Regards

    Patrick

It seems again that my question wasn't realy clear.

What I really would like to know is, what is the difference between working with enterprise services from SAP Business Suite in PI 7.0 and PI 7.1. From my point of view, when working with PI 7.1 you will get integration content from SAP. I also think that in PI 7.0 you have to create it by yourself.

So my question is from SAP PI point of view, is there anythink else, or am I wrong at all?

    Many thanks,

    Milan

    • PI 7.0 does not completely support the Enterprise Service concept. In PI 7.1, there is an additional concept of Enterprise Service Repository (ESR), that was not a part of PI 7.0 earlier. This facility provides the user to create its own pool of services categorizing them based on their business requirements. U can search n have a look at all ESR related documents on sdn.
