Hi all,

Can user change SC once ordered? can anyone tell me in what situations user i.e person who created SC have authorizations to change SC?

How can we perform Budget check while creating SC? is it possible?

What are the main advantages of using SRM Standalone scenario for Indirect materials, instead of procuring Indirect materials in SAP MM?. i know the process, want to know advantages over MM.

Thanks

Ravi

Hi,

For chnaging the SC,the parameter BBP_WFL_SECURITY needs to be set at the user/role level.

Pls change the value for the paramter "bbp_wfl_security" in the user/requisitioner role in transcn PFCG or for the user in SU01.For more details for the settings ,refer the foll links:

Hi Ravi,

1. SC once ordered cannot be changed by standard, like the way we do in R/3. In R/3 its possible to close the PO and change PR. Pls refer below sdn thread for more details:

2. Budget check for account assignment objects during SC creation is possible. Pls follow below url for details:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_srm50/helpdata/en/4f/b3e739e62b714be10000000a114084/frameset.htm

Also Refer note 520717

3. The main advantage of using SRM Standalone scenario over SAP MM for procurement of Indirect materials is catalog feature during SC creation. Employees can refer internal, vendor managed or 3rd party catalogs for material (detailed specs with pictures), which is not possible in SAP MM.

Another advantage is close integration with suppliers for follow-on process including sourcing.

Prashant

Hi Thanks a lot....rewarded for that.

Once SC approved and went to Purchaser inbox, now Purchaser changed the Quantity or Price and created PO.

1. Will SC will update with changed quantity? if not how to update this in SC

2. Is there any possibility to change SC by user after PO created, i know after PO user can't change but my clint want this facility to change SC after creation of PO:).

Thanks,

Ravi

Hi Prashant/Disha,

Please take a look at Forum [Rules of Engagement|https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/wiki?path=/display/home/rulesofEngagement] on asking for points.

Hi,

You can do this using the BADI "BBP_DOC_CHANGE_BADI" for the SC.

In the BADi,just check whether the PO has been created for the SC .Use the FM BBP_PD_SC_GETDETAIL for this.If the PO is created, read the quantity from the PO and update it accordingly in the SC too(if quantity not same).

Hi Prashanth

Thanks for your reply. i have one question... you are saying "The main advantage of using SRM Standalone scenario over SAP MM for procurement of Indirect materials is catalog feature during SC creation. Employees can refer internal, vendor managed or 3rd party catalogs for material (detailed specs with pictures), which is not possible in SAP MM"

but this catalog functionality will support in MM also. we can create PO in MM using MDM catalogs with detailed specs with pictures. Is there any other advantages?

Thanks

Hi Imtiaz,

Thanks for the reminder again and the rules link.Never read it before!Next time ,the points are not rewarded ,will stop answering them or use the abuse button to report it .

Anyways, the reminder for the points was in support of the foll statement:

At the end of the day, all of us are human, and a small recognition goes a long way. This way, you win in getting a good answer. The person answering gets that warm feeling of having helped and with enough points gets a small reward.

Hi All,

Don't stop answering, you guys are helping alot...as you know SRM is new to all....we are getting lot of solutions from forum only.

when Purhaser changes PO, the user(requester) should get notification and user should reprocess the SC approval process. is it possible?

Thanks

Ravi

To add Disha If your approver has rejected the SC and the requisitinar wants to change it you need make a task as a general task in OOCU.

Budget maintained in SRM org structure is checked easily while creating SCs

but you want to check the FM budget maintained in ECC FI then the GL account put in SC has to correct.

For this it it better to use the GL determination badi and get the GL from ECC at real time.

you are asking standalong scenario benifits or SRM procurement benifits?

common are user friendly screens, Easy & flexible release strategy(approval workflows) unlike ECC, Auto PO creation in SRM or ECC by choice, defaulting paramerters etc.

For PO channge to be intimated to SC creator you will have to set up SRM alert management.

Hello Imtiaz,

Respect the ethics you are trying to bring on SRM SDN.

But don't see any harm in people demanding points.

Personally I have stopped asking for points but still feel better if somebody awards.

It is not all the people are kind enough to acknowlege the help of the seniors.

When a person is contributing he really needs to brainstorm, refer to diff matl, try on system etc.

So personally would say no harm in demand.
