Change routing/carrier after packing and weighing

Hi gurus,

having a question regarding the change of determined carrier/route after packing.

Scenario: Customers want to have the option to change the carrier/routing to a staging area after having packed the goods.

Reason: Due to special packaging material, it's hard to know the exact weight when creating the picking tasks. So they are weighing the packed shipment after packing, and the result could be, that the physical weight exceeds the max weight for a certain carrier. So they want that the system automatically decides that the carrier should be changed from, e. g. parcel to normal carrier. And so should also the routing be changed from staging area A to B.

Is that possible with SAP EWM standard functionality?

Hi Roman,

My understanding- auto carrier/route determination/change after packing/weighing is not possible in standard.I guess you need to enhance your system to achieve this functionality.
