Investment measure internal order transfer intra company

Former Member

Dear Experts,

We have a scenario where we have a Investment measure internal order which is automatically assigned to a AUC. The cost is getting accumulated in the internal order. Once the asset is commissioned physically, the cost in the order is settled to AUC and then to Main asset using KO88.

Now we are moving to a new company code. Hence the cost accumulated so far ahs to be transferred to the new Company code in the same landscape.

What is the best method to do this as i need the line item details in the new company code. Is it possible to transfer the internal order with line items to a new company.

Your advice is requested.

Regards

George

Hi George

You should create the required configuration for investment order in the new company code, exactly the same way as current company code. Now for legacy transfer, create a new investment order which should automatically create the AUC as well. Now post an intracompany transaction transferring all the line items from the old order to the new order. This should create line items on the new order as you want and you can continue to use the same process for capitalizing. Additionally, you would have transferred the debit posting on old investment order, that will ensure that all the old orders are with zero balance. Hope that helps
