Express Document "Update was terminated"

Hi,

When I am saving the Shipment Document in Transaction VT01N, I am getting the error 'Express Document "Update was terminated"'.

I know that this is something to do with the Number Ranges. I have checked the Number Ranges for Shipment as well as Handling Unit. Both are correct, but still this error is coming. I have also noticed that it is updating the status of Number Ranges wrongly.

Please give your inputs immediately. It is very urgent. I have to solve this issue before this afternoon. Your help will be highly helpful

Hello Vijayakrishna,

The error you've encountered is called Update Termination.

You will have to go to SM14/SM13 to analyse the error.

A short dump has occured during processing of transaction VT01n, plz also go to ST22 to find the exact error--you will get all the details like where the error has occured and what you can do? For further help, paste the error here or take help of an ABAPer..

Hello Vijay,

I found that you have fixed this Express Document "Update was terminated" error message. Could you please provide me the solution that you have followd either by giving reply to this or sending an email to eesh_in in yahoo com?

We are also getting the same error message Express Document "Update was terminated" when we use VL02N or VF02 transaction codes.

I hope you will reply to this.

Dear All ,

We are facing one critical issue while postion GR/GI document through MFBF t.code. We are getting above subject message .

We can able to see the document created but when we go back.. it put this DUMP.

Some experts saying may be it is due to Outform issue .. unit of Measure mismatch or Number ranges etc.....

one strange thing is it is only occur on a particular plant which is go live recently.

Please if anyone face such kind of issue ..pls do me know let know

Using SO01 t-code go to the INBOX and get the details of the message and post it for other to respond.

The possible reason may be that the number the document is using, is already used (ie it exists in the system).

Suppose number 1001 is already used and I force the system to create another document with the same number by changing the last number of the number range to 1000 using SNRO transaction, then this kind of error appears.

There can be other reasons also.

You should also post the details received in the SAP INBOX to SAP Service Market place. Since this is a standard t-code they will respond.

Hello,

I don't think it could be because of any number ranges issue, then it should have een a dump. This could be because of a temeporory database uppdation issue. If this issue persists for long, then it should be checked with an ABAP expert.

hi Guys

i had same issue to today.. and i have solved it. The ans is maintain the entry in OB29 for the current year for C1 Fiscal year variant as last year.

When I am checking the error in Business Workplace, the Error Info is gven as "TD 423: CONTROL_FORM"

Hi,

This is an ABAP related Error.Go to Tcode :ST22 and check what the error is.

U should take the help of an ABAPer.
