Can HANA Users for OPI be Restricted Users

Hi all,

Is it possible for OPI users to be HANA database Restricted Users? We prefer that the business users access HANA via HTTP (not via Studio), and this would appear to be possible.

Restricted users are intended for provisioning users who access SAP HANA through client applications and who are not intended to have full SQL access via an SQL console

.HANA Restricted Users

However I have tried several variation on Restricted users and granted them all the Roles below. These users cannot login to OPI, and do not see any error, do not get into just waiting at the "SAP Operational Process Intelligence powered by SAP HANA" splash-screen.

Thanks, Andy

Using OPI SPS 12

sap.opi.pv.roles::OPINTUSER	Allows the user to access
<package_name>.gen_<scenario_name>::<scenario_name>_OPERATOR Allows the user to acsess specific scenarios and all relevant data in
<package_name>.<technical_name> Allows the user to process workflows of the specific workflow template. Allows the user to complete workflow tasks.

    Hello Andrew,

No. RESTRICTED user does not have PUBLIC role and OPInt dashboard requires access to data to show in the dashboard. Besides other roles you mentioned you also need to have PUBLIC role which is by-default added in STANDARD user.
