Visual Composer in Portal

Hi Experts,

I am in process on developing Dashboards(graphs) for BW Reports/Queries in Portal using BW WEB Application Designer Templets...

Can any one please brief me functionality of Visual Composer in Portal and How can i access it in portal

Hi bw,

http://<host>:<port>/VC

Ensure the VC is in caps.

Is there any way that i can access VC from click of a button from portal

Hi bw,

You can check if VC is installed or not by accessing this

http://hostname:50000/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo

and search for VC component

or you can go to user administration and search for a VCRole.

Unfortunaltely, I guess to access VC that is the only way out.

I cam't access the system now..let me check tommorow

What are we doing with http://hostname:50000/sap/monitoring/ComponentInfo

and search for VC Components....

If VC Components are present then i can able to access VC using http://<host>:<port>/VC

if VC components are not avaliable

What is the procedure to install it

Hi Geetha,

VC comes as a part of portal installation from EP 7.0 SPS8 onwards.

Check for the VCRole in your user administration and assign it to a user and access it as per my previous posts and you should be good to go.

http://hostname:portnumber/sap/monitoring/SystemInfo

This should give you info on your patch level and all the info about your system.
