Automate query execution and email results in BW 3.5

Hi!

We have a request to automate query execution every day and email the results to the user.

This query should be scheduled to execute every day at 6:00AM in the morning.

We cannot use Information broadcaster. We need permission to install it, which would have to go through many channels.

I tried to look into RSCRM_BAPI. But with this feature we can only save the query results as a .csv file on a file server.

Any other approach that could solve my problem, would be highly appreciated.

Hi

With the help of reporting agent settings you can save the report in Excel in the specified location or folder.

Use download scheduler to download the file into the directory and give the access to the user to access the file.

This will not solve my problem. There are many users who need to have access to this file. So the best option would be an email.

Hi,

You can try reporting agent running "reporting_agent" transaction to send your queries with mail.If you do not have chance to use Information Broadcasting.
