Please change the valuation class in MM02 > after having got the error message click on the appearing 'Display Errors' button. SAP will say what hinders you from being able to change that field.

Generally you have to

delete transactional data

set your stock to 0 both in previous and in current period. (use MB1A201 with posting date in the previous period to eliminate your stock; via MB1A202 you can reset your stock level after the material master change)

If you've had material movements in this period for your material it may be very difficult to set the stock to 0 because you should cancel all goods movements. In this case you'd better wait till the end of the month: set the stok to 0 on the last day of july > change on first day of August > reset stock level on the first day of August.

Reconcillation account

u can change it in XK02

Hi

Valuation Category in the material master is not changeable once it has been assigned.

Best option is to create anew material & carry on the operations.

Recocilliation account can be change using Xk02 Transaction for the Vendor master.

Hi

To change the valuation class of material the material stock and open PO's should not exist. If these are satisfied u can change it in MM02 transaction and Accounting view of the material.

To change a recon account in vendor master go to XK02 and in Accounting information screen change the recon account.
