Automatic Creation of Transportation Lane

Hi,

1. When I create a Info-Record or Scheduling Agreement in R/3 the transportation Lane is automatically created in the APO part. So please let me know what is the setting we need to maintain to create the transportation automatically.

2. How the means of transport. Is it created automatically or manually?

Hi

You just need to CIF schedulling agreements or purchase info records to APO. And it will create T lanes.

Prerequisite is u have CIFed all the plants/vendors/DC's to APO.

Means of transport is not created automatically. You will have to create it manually.

Hi :

Another method is using the special procurement key, the CIF

can create Transportation lanes.

Storing a special procurement type with procurement type F: External

Procurement and special procurement U: Stock Transfer (in the MRP 2 view

of the SAP R/3 material master record), means that the material has to be

procured externally from another plant (supplying plant) or transferred

from another plant.. If you have transferred

a material with this special procurement type from the SAP R/3 system,

the SAP SCM system automatically creates a corresponding transportation

lane from the supplying plant to the receiving plant for the supplying

plant (from the special procurement type) and material/plant combination.

The transportation lane is given the creation indicator .S. for special

procurement.
