master data and transaction data

hi experts,

I using the server bi 7.0

is in uploading transaction data and master data are used same uploading method?

In my scenario i created all basic components like IO, IC, DS, SS.

I have uploaded the master data using the flatfile, as same as the transaction data.

I want to know that, is it correct to upload the master data same as the transaction.

i found only different is the while creating the data source it asked the transaction data or master data attri, etc.

i selected the master data attributes.

can any explain the process can differciate the master data upload and the transaction data upload?
