Hi Team,

I want to delete a very long running SAT Trace(created for a Fiori application). Unfortunately, the trace's status shows as running but others parameters like Size etc. do not change. I tried 'End Active Measurement' option but it did not help. Now situation is trace is running but to no avail.

Screenshot is attached.

olga.dolinskaja siegfried.boes Please help in letting me know how to stop this trace.

Hi All,

With help of product team, I got the solution.

We can run the SE38 report - RATRA_REORG_TRACE_FILES to manually reorganize the trace files.

Regards.

The maximum SAT trace duration is maximum around 3900 seconds. So, if it's longer than that, it's stuck. Check all possible SAP notes.

You could also just reach to other SAP employees by email or some kind of internal messenger that I'm sure SAP uses.

Hi Sandra, Hi Jelena,

Thanks for your suggestions. Based on my interaction with product development colleagues, below are updates -

1. All active traces can be seen via report RSATRAMONITOR.

2. The data for every trace is stored in table SATR_DIRECTORY. In this table only we can see the trace status, message and other details.

In my case the Trace is deactivated but is somehow not removed from Evaluate tab in SAT. Will update once I get any further information.

That is a very brief answer. What did you try to achieve with that report, how did you use it, and what was the result?

Please run report - RATRA_REORG_TRACE_FILES.

It has few selection screen options you can choose from. As far as I remember it has no side effects even if you run the report incorrectly since it will just delete some specified stuck trace.

To check if there is any active trace in system run the report - RSATRAMONITOR.

Hope it helps.

Enjoy.
