Hi
Obviously for individual materials you can use MM02. As you refer to LSMW perhaps you mean for large volumes of data, in which case the t-code MASS could be an option.
Also MR21 allows this change also and you can enter a number of materials at a time.

Hi,
Thanks for the prompt response.
Yes what you say is correct it can be done through MR21 for individaual material
I have arount 10000 material in 23 plants.i do not want to go for because my assumption is i have invetory calculated at the present valuation.
my issues are
1.if i cahnge the price unit through mass or lsmw what would happen to the existing inventory which is valuated what should i do after changing the field
Kindly help

Hello Anand,
Have you tested LSMW and found that no stock valuation update was done?
There are many threads describing using LSMW with MR21, I wouldnt have expected a problem given LSMW is a recording of the transaction.
See the thread link which also provides the name of a bapi:
Maybe this will be of help.

Hi Elaine,
I am not using LSMW because there might be some variances which would crop after updating so i wanted to change through MR21 or CK24.
But here the issue if i need to update the price unit i should also check the costing lot which should not be less than the price unit and vice versa.
Can you please suggest any other way of updating
Thanks in advace
Anand
Hi
CK24 is not relevant to changing price units, it is only for marking and releasing of cost estimates.
Apart from LSMW (which I still think is valid), a BAPI or creating of a batch job using a call transaction for MR21 I really can't think of anything else to use for updating 100,000 materials other than manually.
Perhaps someone else on the forum can contribute, sorry I cannot help further.
Elaine
