Difference between HTTP Header variable & GET variable in REST sender channel

Hi Experts,

While creating REST sender channel, under REST Resources we have something like XI Dynamic Attribute. After choosing "Custom Attribute" for "Value Source" I see HTTP Header Variable & GET Variable , what are differences between them?

    Hi Ramu,

    In the request received by PI server the request comes in form of HTTP request. Such request has a header part and body part.

    In case you are trying to access a value coming in header you need to access the same using header variable.

    In a REST (GET) request there will be parameters in query string as shown below

    GET http://del.icio.us/api/peej/bookmarks/?start=1&end=2

    here start1,start2 are values you can obtain by specifying value source as "GET variable" in sender channel .
