Quota arrangement and lot size

How can a fixed lot size be determined for a quota arrangement composed of in-house production and external procurement? (different lot sizes for in-house and external)

Basic settings are defined as follows

  1. Material master
  • MRP1 - Lot size FS (same as FX with splitting quota)
  • MRP2 – Procurement type = X, quota arrangement = 4
  1. Source list for external procurement
  2. Planned independent requirement (PIR)
  3. Quota maintained in MEQ1

Hello

In the standard MRP logic, lot sizing calculation happens before the source determination, so you can't have different lot sizes depending on the results of source determination.

You can try to implement one of the MRP BAdIs to influence the replenishment proposal lot size, but I have to say that this is risky, since there is no BAdI developed for this specific purpose. See the BAdIs available for MRP below:
