hi all,
i want to know the differences between these three terms ::---
<sid>adm
<sapservice>sid
SAP_<SAPSID>_GOBALADMIN
when we <sid>adm and when we use <sapservice>sid.
and also what excatly is SAP_<SAPSID>_GOBALADMIN.
when i work on any of the SAP SYSTEMS i only use <sid>adm to login (start and stop) the systems.
i never used <sapservice>sid and SAP_<SAPSID>_GOBALADMIN so far. so , i am asking this question.
regards,
bhupesh

Hi
SIDadm is used for administering your system. This is the user you will log with. The SAP system administrator who has unlimited access to all local resources related to SAP systems.
SAPservcieSID start SAP services. it is also used when SAP word process needs OS access.
A special user who runs the Windows services related to SAP systems.
SAP_<SAPSID>_GOBALADMIN. I never came across this.
